Hello everyone! Just working on a mini comic (6 pages and halfway there now) based on this Amish woman from Dexters Laboratory! A clip from that episode kept popping up in my recommended for some reason and I finally just decided to “34” her. A gist of the entirety of going about with this comic is it’s fun to do since it’s loose, I get to draw a face so more practice on that (!), opportunities on creating ideas without it being a time sink, and opportunities playing with different styles and methods without worrying of the “polish” in my regular works.
Also the situation is definitely inspired by the artist, Dam, and their doujin, “Toraware no Chuukanseiki ni Sasagu Banka” where they go through the clothes. Not sure if there is a technical term for it but it was something I was interested in doing myself! I know this isn’t the usual full renders and as you can see from the previous posts I’ve made, it’s been mostly loose stuff, but the motive behind all those was to get myself regularly drawing more often because for the past couple years, I’ve been investing a lot of time on rendering rather than drawing itself. And after recent mishaps and time constraints, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to just draw. Balancing both is another story however.
